I am a little uneasy about posting this picture as this is a public Forum and I am not trying to offend anyone but I just thought the picture was nice. I won't post the poem that came with it.

Ron,
I will and I am pleased to do so.

Footprints in the Sand

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.

So I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life
there have only been one set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?”

The Lord replied,
“The times when you have seen only one set of footprints in the sand,
is when I carried you.”

Fred,

Thanks. There have been a lot of times in my life and especially the past 6 months when that has to be true. I could never have gone through some things on my own and still be around.

Warren,

This should have been posted in the Jokes thread but I couldn't resist putting it here for you to see.

Ron

The very first ever Blonde GUY joke..... And well worth the wait !!!!

An Irishman, a Mexican and a Blonde Guy were doing construction work on scaffolding on the 20th floor of a building.

They were eating lunch and the Irishman said, "Corned beef and cabbage! If I get corned beef and cabbage one more time for lunch, I'm going to jump off this building."

The Mexican opened his lunch box and exclaimed, "Burritos again! If I get burritos one more time I'm going to jump off, too."

The blonde opened his lunch and said, " Bologna again! If I get a bologna sandwich one more time, I'm jumping too."

The next day, the Irishman opened his lunch box, saw corned beef and cabbage, and jumped to his death.

The Mexican opened his lunch, saw a burrito, and jumped, too.

The blonde guy opened his lunch, saw the bologna and jumped to his death as well.

At the funeral , the Irishman's wife was weeping. She said, "If I'd known how really tired he was of corned beef and cabbage, I never would have given it to him again!"

The Mexican's wife also wept and said, "I could have given him tacos or enchiladas! I didn't realize he hated burritos so much."

(Oh this is GOOD!!)?

Everyone turned and stared at the blonde's wife. The blonde's wife said,

"Don't look at me. He makes his own lunch ." (Oh, this is SO BAD!)

Just rcv'd this text msg from Josh. He is in Austin,Texas for the Texas State Solo Comp. .He is playing the Snare.
Not too bad for a Sophomore.

From Josh:
I got the silver medal (2nd) out of three hundred snares! And a two on my solo based on a 1-5 (1 is best) grading scale. I'm pretty happy.lol.

Good day today

Just got home from food shopping ... while checking out, the cashier said "Senior?" and I said "absolutely" with my fingers crossed. Store gives 5% off total for senior citizens on Tuesdays. I can always use the extra $8.00 I got a few more drops of gas when I filled the tank.

But even better is that my leg (groin pull) is so much better ... I even was able to clip my toenails. That was an impossible task for the last 2 or 3 months. Sometimes its the little things you miss the most.

Fred
It is amazing how many Yahoos there are on this site. Your thread about the "Anger of the Left" looks like the promotion to a heavyweight prize fight.

Keep 'em coming - keeps Jamo on his toes with multiple time outs!

Warren,

Stop agitating. That thread is getting to be a real war in itself. Almost reminds me of the good old days when Evan (Real One), was challenging Pat and Turk to a fight. I wish I could locate the cartoon that one of the people drew and put in that thread.

Ron - Three things I do not "argue" about with friends ...

Sex
Religion
Politics

Just gets you into fights. But I like some of the knock-down brawls on some threads in CC.

Guess I'll have to finish off the rest of my Chinese food feast I got Sunday night. Then I'll have to iron some shirts later tonight

Hey Fred - did Josh pick up some tricks from Frenchy on how to play the bongos? Must be tough having two budding musical geniuses in the house, especially when you cannot even toot your own horn.

I have suggested to Josh that he & Frenchy start doing duos together. From what I understood,Josh just doesn't have a true appreciation of Frenchy's talents ,. To put it mildly.

As far as not being able to toot my own horn..
I can make my toots sound like flute or a tuba.

To brag a little more on Josh: This deal in Austin was the State Finals. The 300 best in the State were competing.
