Help with choosing trailer axels...Torsion or spring?

I'm after some experience and opinions on a spring axle trailer vs. a torsion axle. I am going to buy a 24'-28' car hauler and I can't decide which way to go. The torsion costs more, but is it really worth it? Some sales guys say that it is just an excuse to spend more money; that you really won't notice a difference when the trailer is loaded.
I'll be hauling a 3000# car plus spares.
What do you guys think?
Thanks,
MC

I vote for torsion because there is less crap hanging around to rust.

I think I'm going the torsion route.
The trailer I borrow has torsion bars and rides very well.
