A Year Earlier Than Expected
Well Toyota officially became the Worlds Largest Automaker last year instead of this year as they had predicted.

Also interesting that Toyota's quality has slipped badly. I believe they are now in 6th place in initial quality while Ford and GM continue to move upwards.

Yes, and I see now they are building those pickups that are the size of a small house. I wonder how long they will stay on top if this keeps up. It has about ruined Ford because they can't get past the idea that what made them money a few years ago is no longer going to do so, and they just keep making bigger and bigger pick ups and SUVs. Ford is trying to dump Jaguar and Land Rover, but hasn't found anyone that is interested in them yet. They should just shut them down and stop losing all that money until they do recover or find some company that would buy them.

They are still number three here I think. Ford , GM - General Motors Holden and then Toyota.

:)
Bernie, Maybe Ford should move their headquarters to over there if they are doing well. The word here is that in two years if they don't turn things around they could possibly be filing for bankruptcy. Their new CEO seems to have a good idea of what to do, but no one knows if they have the financial means to last the two to three years it will take to implement his ideas. :( Ron :o |
