Help! Anyone into model cars and stuff

Hi , im trying to find info about a specialist company from the 80`s called Teapot Graphics. They also went by another name called Johnson Classic Scale Models. They built 1/24 scale resin and vacuform car models.
Trying to find out if they built a King Cobra vacform body.
Have searched on the net with not much luck.
Cheers, Paul

Hi Paul,
Yep, John Johnson did one about 15-20 years ago in vacform. They were pretty rough, but workable. Good luck finding one.

I picked up a few resin ones from a Japanese company. They are slot cars and do not have a chassis. They also seem a bit small for 24th - they might be around 1:26th or so, but I have not measured to be sure. They are of the second body style.

I do have a spare one if you are interested, but it will not be cheap - perhaps a trade - I have my eye on the Wiesel King Cobra (the yellow #55). If you are interested and want pics - let me know.

Steve

Hey Paul,
http://cgi.ebay.com/1-24-MASERATI-45...QQcmdZViewItem

Here is a pic of an old Teapot vac kit that a friend of mine is selling on Ebay. It's not the King Cobra, but it will give you an idea of what the kits looked like.

I'll respond to the rest of your email later this week and post some pics here. There seems to be a bunch of thread lurkers interested too - pics might be useful to others as well.

BTW, I have not forgotten about the BRDC and Armstrong graphics. Still chewing on those and too many other projects. But I am planning on sending them to print at the end of the summer.

Hi Steve, that Maserati looks good. I see what you mean though about putting a lot of work into it. Looking forward to the other pictures.
BTW i have the BRDC decals now , i might have mentioned that to you before. Thanks anyway. Paul:)

Not into model cars but, I'm hooked on those mini helicopters, bought one for my nephew and enjoyed it as much as he did so I bought one for myself.
They will only work indoors and they recharge from the control.
You can pick them up on ebay for about $10-$20.
