Bush & Scooter
I guess the would be jailbird won't be turning into a songbird will he? With no punishment coming into his immediate future. There is no reason for him to sing a song about Bush & Cheney is there?
GEE????????? I wonder if George ever gave that a thought, or was he really concerned that Scooter has suffered enough? This administration must think we are STUPID! He was elected to be President to serve the PEOPLE. Not a monarch to serve his OWN desires, and wishes!...%/ |
Scooter must have the goods on people all OVER the place, republican and democratic.
I was just reminded that Scooter was the lawyer for Marc Rich, the fugitive that Clinton pardoned in the waning days of his administration. So Scooter can lick the ear of the last two presidents it seems and get their legs to thumping, make them jump through the hoops only he can see. |
W did what he thought was right - he was elected, possibly not by you - but the majority of people in this country, so get over it. And, yes, I think that he does think that you are stupid.
|
|
I don't see "W" doing much right. I am not saying his intentions were wrong, but his decisions have proved to be very wrong. So, CDC, did GEORGIE PORGIE himself tell you personally that I am stupid? Or is it that you are just putting in your own personal thoughts?**) :3DSMILE:

I don't see what the problem is. We all know Richard Armitage admitted he was the guy that leaked Valerie Plames name to the press. Libby was just the guy the prosecutor went after......and for no good reason.

It was a good reason they went after him, he LIED during the investigation and obstructed it. Which seems to be a recurring theme with the present administration. Scooter SHOULD be in jail and be held accountable as a public official to send a message to other government employees, don't lie or obstruct justice during an official investigation.
|
Right, and the whole case was about leaking the name of an alleged cover operative. So Libby gets convicted and the guy that actually leaked the name just walks. Makes sense to me. Can anyone say Sandy Berger?

Should president Bill Clinton be in jail?after all he LIED under OATH.And what about Sandy Berger [Berglar] for stealing and destroying national security documents? Mike. |
Ernie...take a look at the list of Clinton pardons that I linked. You will see several pardons for lying to the government...every phuking year of his two terms!
Berger would've been shot in earlier times. |
:D So why don't we put some of these guys in jail for lieing? Wait, isn't that what landed Martha Stewart in jail, obstuction and lieing more so than the stock issue?
Time to start cleaning house me thinks... |
Yep - Clinton lied. And he should have paid for it. So should Libby.
Clinton said about the pardons for Weinberger et al "I am concerned by any action that sends a signal that if you work for the Government, you're beyond the law, or that not telling the truth to Congress under oath is somehow less serious than not telling the truth to some other body under oath.", and then he did the same bloody thing. They are all a bunch of hypocrites. Personally, I think the pardon should be eliminated, or at least require Congressional approval. Steve |
Steve, I totally agree...take it away from the Presidents and all governors. Jerry Brown screwed around with death penalty cases here in California in the 70s.
It's a holdover from the power of the King, and has no place in a democracy |
How do you know if a Politician is lying?
%/...he has his mouth open..:3DSMILE: |

Well, they lie when they are closed also. The only good politician is one that is not in office. Even the dead ones can find a way to muck up something. I wonder how many people were screaming for Clintons head (or, rather, about it), but want Libby to get off. That all sounds a bit wrong, but I think my actual meaning is clear.;) Steve |
