They aren't like most of us. They have to much money and are famous. They can refuse to pay over $1 million in taxes and all they get is SHAMED. You steal a loaf of bread to feed your family and get 20 years in prison. Who says that being rich and famous doesn't pay off. :rolleyes: Ron :( |
Hell I owed California $2,000 set up a payment plan with them, it included interest. After not missing a payment for over 1/2 of the term, they put it on my credit as past due and delinquent. Even after they promised to remove it, they never did. I had to fight it with the credit bureaus to have it removed. I had to prove that I set up the payment plan and then I had to find (Luckily I kept them) every canceled check. The next month it would be back on the report and I would have to spend the next 3 getting it back off to go through it again. California Franchise Tax board gets no sympathy from me. But if someone who was as broke as I was for the last decade can find a way to pay off all tax and other debt, these people who don't pay what they owe, get even less sympathy.

After the false reports of Sinbad's death, he probably thought he did not have to pay anything if he is 6 feet under. Hell, when I die, I'm not going to pay any more taxes! :p
Usually, the IRS arrests some high profile person in the first quarter of the year to cast the fear of arrest into all the little people that are thinking about cheating mother IRS. Its a tactic that works. I guess Kalifornicatia's calender is just off by a few months! :LOL: :LOL: |

Warren, California won't arrest any celebrity as they can't even convict them of murder. Sh what is a few million that they can steal from the poor compared to the bad press if they tread on the toes of the rich and famous.
