One more time!! Go Red Sox!
|
The curse is most definitely BROKEN!!!!!
|
Fantastic!
One World Champion and two more coming (Pats & Celtics)! Life is good in New England! |
:)
The Celtics are looking pretty good in post season play but I wouldn't give them the championship just yet. Congratulations to the Red Sox. They deserved to win after that 3-1 deficient they had in the LCS. :) Ron :p |
Well, they made short work of the series. The only time I like to see that happen is when my home team is playing, and that has been a long time, OAKLAND!

One word for the series--BORING!!

New England Sports:
STORRS, Conn. (Oct. 28, 2007) - UConn football fans stormed Rentschler Field following the Huskies' 22-15 win over then-No. 11 USF on Saturday night The UConn football team (7-1, 3-0 BIG EAST) earned its first ever national ranking on Sunday when it checked it at No. 16 in the AP Poll and No. 20 in the USA Today Coaches’ Poll. Officially joining the then-Division I-A ranks in 2002, UConn needed five years and 10 weeks to crack the AP Poll, making the Huskies the second-fastest team to ever do so. Boston Globe And so on the day the Patriots officially moved halfway to perfection and the Boston College footballers enjoyed another 24 hours as the No. 2 team in the nation, the Red Sox won their seventh World Series in franchise history. How do New England parents explain to children there was a time when local sports fans endured failure and collapse and actually waited for a rare championship season to unfold? In October of 2007, the streets of Boston are paved with gold and this week those streets will be packed with the legions of Red Sox Nation, saluting the World Champion Boston Red Sox. Again. Next, the Boston Celtics |

Oh, wait a minute. Art lives in Joisey, so it might not have been boring if the Yankees had won? Or maybe the Mets? Barf. I'm getting sick. Get me a bag.    |

Warren, The Red Sox are my favorite team right behind the Cardinals, Yankees, White Sox, Mets, Chicago Cubs, and Dodgers. :D Ron  |
Quote from Red Sox GM Theo Epstein:
" No one wants to sit here, spray champagne, and talk about how we're going to be great for a long period pf time. That's not the way things work. We have a foundation now, and let's see what we do with it " |
Is VRM a Red Sox fan?

Yep, my posts have been a little short the last couple of weeks 'cause (way) I've been a little busy. It's been quite nice checking in on CC and reading your game updates every morning. I already knew the scores from watching the game - but it sort of made it a bit more real actually seeing it confirmed. My thanks for that. :) Steve |
