22 Ways To Be A Good Democrat

22 WAYS TO BE A GOOD DEMOCRAT - THIS IS NOT SO HARD -- EVEN A CAVE MAN CAN DO IT....

1. You have to be against capital punishment, but support abortion on demand.

2. You have to believe that businesses create oppression and governments create prosperity.

3. You have to believe that guns in the hands of law-abiding Americans are more of a threat than U.S. Nuclear weapons technology in the hands of Chinese and North Korean communists.

4. You have to believe that there was no art before Federal funding.

5. You have to believe that global temperatures are less affected by cyclical documented changes in the earth's climate and more affected by Soccer moms driving SUV's.

6. You have to believe that gender roles are artificial but being homosexual is natural.

7. You have to believe that the AIDS virus is spread by a lack of Federal Funding.

8. You have to believe that the same teacher who can't teach fourth graders how to read is somehow qualified t o teach those same kids about sex.

9. You have to believe that hunters don't care about nature, but loony activists who have never been outside of San Francisco do.

10. You have to believe that self-esteem is more important than actually doing something to earn it.

11. You have to believe that Mel Gibson spent $25 million of his own money to make "The Passion of the Christ" for financial gain only.

12. You have to believe the NRA is bad because it supports certain parts of the Constitution, while the ACLU is good because it supports certain parts of the Constitution.

13. You have to believe that taxes are too low, but ATM fees are too high.

14. You have to believe that Margaret Sanger and Gloria Steinem are more Important to American history than Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Edison, and A.G..Bell.

15. You have to believe that standardized tests are racist, but racial quotas and set-asides are not.

16. You have to believe that Hillary Clinton is normal and is a very nice person.

17. You have to believe that the only reason socialism hasn't worked any where it's been tried is because the right people haven't been in charge.

18. You have to believe conservatives telling the truth belong in jail, but a liar and a sex offender belonged in the White House.

19. You have to believe that homosexual parades displaying drag, transvestites, and bestiality should be constitutionally protected, and Manger scenes at Christmas should be illegal.

20. You have to believe that illegal Democrat Party funding by the Chinese Government is somehow in the best interest to the United States.

21. You have to believe that this message is a part of a vast, right Wing Conspiracy.

22. You have to believe that it's okay to give Federal workers the day off on Christmas Day ..........but it's not okay to say "Merry Christmas."

Ready to vote???

Missed One

You missed one. There are actually 23 ways to be a good Democrat:

#23 - Become a Republican

Tday 10-26-2007 08:56 PM

Seems like the republican crowd is well represented in the lounge! Well, a democrat would say that to be a good republican you have to spend money you don't have...Did you know that 80% of the 9 trillion in national debt has been incurred by just 3 republican presidents? Amazing huh? Regan, Bush, Bush...mortgage our children's future and spend it today. Tax and spend becomes borrow and spend.

Citizens Against Government Waste does a good job of tracking our
senators and representatives voting spending habits. You might want to check it out and see who is voting to spend the money. Very interesting.

Checks and balances what?

Ron61 10-27-2007 05:25 AM

:)

Tday,

I am a registered Democrat and I haven't seen our bunch doing anything to help this country and the citizens for the past 25 years. And the Democrats controlled Congress for many years and nothing was done to help the country. Now the Governor of New York has decided he is the ultimate lawmaker and is going to give illegal aliens drivers licenses so they can vote. And where is our power happy *****, Hillery and why hasn't she taken a stand on that insane issue? I thought that to vote you had to be a citizen and I didn't know that some dam crook giving drivers licenses to illegals made them citizens. I think that every politician from the president right down through the complete Congress and Supreme Court should be kicked out and a whole new bunch put in.

Ron :(

Tday 10-27-2007 05:33 AM

Yes, Ron...I'm with you...I just think it's embarrassing to be either these days. The democrats are completely lame and the republicans lost their way and went to the fringes too. But the devisive kind of stuff that dems are sh** or republicans are nazi's drives me nuts. Give Jefferson's inaugural address a read and you'll see how we've drifted from the center, and good informed debate and lawmaking with principle. I'm with both sides of this debate, really...the center needs to be reclaimed by people with purpose. Tom

:)

Tom,

I am in full agreement with you. I think that party politics stink. The country and citizens should come first and no matter which party comes up with something good it should be supported by the other. I don't believe that either party is worth much right now. And it is really to bad when no one can even run based on their records but all you hear is what dirt they can dig up on the opponents. I don't dislike anyone based on what party they belong to, I am just frustrated that we have so many problems and no one seems to want to do anything but talk about them.

Bush's approval rating is in the low 30's. Congress approval rating is at 11.

Throw all the bums out.

You beat me to it Warren...and that's exactly right!. Sadly, most folks will continue to ho-hum. That is until they get riled, Like when the 'immigration legislation' was introduced and every senator was hammered from their constituents.

Cobrabill 10-28-2007 08:30 PM

Congress' rating is LOWER than when controlled by the Republicans. So much for Pelosi and the rest of her "wack-pack".

Here's an interesting link to one of Hillary's escapades:

Ok, we already did a survey in here and most folks tend to be a bit conservative. That is not an idictment...but rather an expected result. No catalytic converters, spit more unburned gas out the tail pipe than is used for power, more power than two 2400 pound cars would ever need...probably creating gas shortages wherever they go... Stop while you are ahead, or sign the loyalty transfer papers. Loving God and country whilst creating jobs and gas shortages IS the American way.

Mike
