How much over MSRP are new 2008 GT500?
I still am keeping my Cobra but I am looking into buying a new Shelby GT500 for a daily driver. I live in SW Oklahoma. (Dallas is not that far away). I just have a mental problem of paying a dealer over MSRP. I know when the 2007 came out, dealers were typically charging $10K juice to the sticker price. With the 2008 out and now even the GT500KR out I was hoping a GT500 could be had for MSRP.
Anyone have any input? |
Ford Dealer on Ebay: item #230189385797, buy it now price for 2008 GT500 is $12,000 over sticker.

check with John Ellis at Prestige Ford in Dallas. He has a pretty red/white stripe on the showroom floor as of Thursday. :)
Didn't look at the price, sorry! I did pay over sticker, but i'm sure by now the price over is coming down. Deals should be made for '07's, with the new '08's lining up. "prestigegarland.com" I have his # if you are interested. Kristen ps. he is the GM, not the owner. |
I heard there are rebates on the 2007's currently, which gets the price down to MSRP. There are still some here in little towns in TX.
Here's one in Houston http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-...0175527376#top |
Why buy new, when you can buy used, especially if you will be using it as a daily driver? Go to www.cars.com - several GT500 are now listed (used) with very low mileage in the $48K range.
