Photo Gallery Quotas?
 
I got a message that I was over quota for photo uploads and should delete some photos to be able to upload more. I deleted about 10 pics and still get the "over quota" message...

I've also seen galleries with a lot more photos than what I have in my gallery; what do I do to get that privilege?

Pls. don't get me wrong...the privilege is much appreciated.

We recently addressed this on another thread..

You can get the most out of your allocated space by making sure that the pics are not unnecessarily large, 80k - 100k is more than enough for good viewing.

JCoop...I took a look at your Gallery...you have several pics at ~500k and I saw one that was 2 meg. :eek:

I believe some people may have uploaded far above the newly re-set quota and now are being locked out...and deleting just a pic or two doesn't bring them down into the "green"

I have spent a few weeks sitting around waiting rooms at hospitals etc. Thank God there is the option of checking out peoples galleries.

It passed the time.

Ron,

Is there any way to look at our own gallery and tell how much space we have and what is left?

Edit: I found it on the upload page and I have quite a bit left. However one thing that Brent might consider is changing the unlimited size for a file to be uploaded as thet would tend to cause some people to just try and upload any size file. I try to keep mine downsized to aroun 80K to 130K.
