I guess being uneducated gives you the right to be a bully? While I had my shop in Oakland it was the guys who could hardly speak English, and couldn't count that was always the problem. These are the people born right here in America.
The guys with the mouth were wannabes, and the guys who just took care of business, and were polite were the ones to fear. I don't think I could ever return to my hometown.:mad: |

I have lived in or around Oakland for over 35 years and it has allways been a dangerous place to be. I have family members that have gone to Oakland and came back in a BOX. I am sorry you misunderstood. Ron is a hell of a nice, and polite person. I was talking about the residents of Oakland. They are the uneducated, and bullies. I think it explains itself after the first sentence.....
Sorry for you even thinking I would defend Oakland, and be rude to Ron. I had to carry a pistol at work, and sold out to save my peace of mind. That is why I say I can't think of returning to my hometown, Oakland. |

Terry, Don't worry no harm was done as I knew what Imagine was talking about. I to carried a gun when I had to go down there to work on any of the equipment. Always walk on the far outside of the sidewalks and shoot anyone jumping out of an alley at you. Has been done and will continue as it gets worse if that is possible. I think they quit doing the body outline chalking because they were starting to look like graffiti on the sidewalks there were so many. I finally just refused to go down there if they had a problem and would only work with them on the phone. Sad state of affairs, but true. Ron :( |

Life is full of misunderstandings. It is how they are dealt with that matter....thanks Ron, That's why I sold out, and went sailing for 4 years. Best decision I ever made. I was getting to the point I was looking forward to shooting one of those rude bully a$$e$. They tried to intimidate me every day. They tried to run me down with a car, and tried to beat my ass. None of it worked, but I got tired, and money isn't everything , so I sold out. Once again I am the man I was before that business......HAPPY!!!!!!! |

It is really sad when things are so bad you have to leave, but it seems that crime is really getting worse around here also. Nothing like the big cities, but I can remember when anyone breaking into a store was front page news. Now with all the dope and homicides we have around here, you have to look on page 3 or 4 unless it is someone important. I talked to a DEA agent the other day and also a man that works with the Child welfare Agency, and he said they are busting an average of two meth labs per week in this area. Also the marijuana growers must supply the world with all they grow around here. In fact they have started shooting at the law enforcement people when they fly in to raid their big pot farms. I love hiking in the canyons but it is dangerous now as not only do you have to keep watching to be sure no one is getting ready to take a shot at you, but they are stringing fish hooks on almost invisible line between the bushes at eye level.
