Snowing
When I got up this morning it wasn't doing anything but was cold as all get out. A little later I heard water in the down spouts and looked out to see if it was raining and it was but not hard. Then it quit. Now that it is light enough to see I know why. It is SNOWING and staying on the ground. Small flakes but very thick and the street is starting to show signs of snow sticking on it. I just heard sirens so I guess the first fools have already ran together down here. They think because they have those big SUVs and Pickup trucks they don't ave to slow down. This happens every time we have enough snow to get on the streets. They will go flying along and slam on their brakes and it goes downhill from there on. I did not want this.

Saw on the news that it was snowing just north on LA.
Are you looking to build a double or triple decker snowman ? |
Fred, I have about 1" in my yard right now and it is still coming down hard. The street is beginning to get covered enough that it is slick. Also I never meant to post this twice. Just as I hit the Submit button this morning, Brent I guess took the site down to work on the All cobra Talk forum. I just got a site is out of service page and didn't even know the post went in. I bet they have the traffic stopped at Fawndale which is just about 5 miles North as that is the last place those big trucks can turn around. And that is where they always make them chain up as once you cross the Pit River Bridge, you start up the mountain at a pretty steep grade. I don't like this and my last Cedar tree is going to be completely wrecked this time I fear. Edit To Add: I just looked at our weather forecast for today and it says there is an 80% chance of RAIN. Not a word about snow. Ron  |
Ron
I wish our weather conditions were that bad.:rolleyes: -20 and breezy here this morning. No snow in the forecast however. Wayne |
The NWS has issued a Winter Storm Watch for us tonight thru tomorrow morning.
Sleet and freezing rain. THEN.... the next three days call for tempts in the 60's.:):D:3DSMILE: |
Fred, that avatar!
Ron, take the puppies out in the snow! Good to know I am not the only one with snow. Been sick, still am. I feel like poop. |
Tru,
I hope that you are feeling better by now. I was sick all weekend but seem to be over it now. I did take the pups out as this is their first snow and they really like it. They stayed out about an hour running and chasing around and then I looked out and they were rolling in it. Ron  |
Tru - get well soon. Have some Chunky chicken noodle soup.
Ron - get a snow shovel. I just talked with the Mt Shasta Goddess. Fred - like your new nipples (I mean avatar). Wayne - build a fire. Tough day so far, two meals, two naps and one haircut. One more meal to go and the day will officially be complete. Beam me up Scottie :eek:**)**):p:p |
Fred has nipples:confused:
Ron-what is "snow"? |

3 Day Forecast after tomorrow...60 then 67 THEN 70:) BTW..If I wasn't such a shy, retiring guy that was easily embarrassed...well anyway y'all need to be happy with my avatar. |
Ron, if you can hear water in the downspouts, it is NOT snowing; it is raining!
When it SNOWS, all sound ceases until you break out the SNOW shovel and start that awful scritch, scritch sound that all the neighbors duplicate. You have a whole inch of snow in your yard? I have more accumulation of dog poop in my yard since the last warm weather this neck of the woods. Damn dogs just won't stop processing until warm weather! The media didn't show up to film my yard like they did the Cajon pass...why is that? WINTER SUCKS! Terry |
Its pointless! I can't post in a thread where Fred's avatar is jumping around. I.... just.... can't.... FOCUS!

:)
Terry, For us here anything over an inch is unusual. Ten miles from here anything under 10 feet is below normal. I saw that they had another 4 to 6 feet in the Sierras which bodes well for the coming Summer. There may actually be enough water to get us through this next Summer. About once every 10/15 years we will have a big snow this low. The last one was just about 3 1/2' on the lever ground and I think every live oak tree in this area broke and fell. If I wanted to live in snow I would have stayed back East when I was young. Of course it hadn't been named then. :3DSMILE: Ron  |
14°F this AM and NO snow. Thank you Mt Shasta Goddess. Dump it all on Ron and Tru. They deserve it.

:(
Warren, It is 37 here this morning and there is still some snow on the ground but most of it is gone. It is supposed to rain off and on today and tomorrow with possible snow again Sunday. The weather channel said this storm was going to move East after that. Enjoy it. :p Ron :) |
