Brain Teaser

Not Cobra related (other than the occasional frustration), but does anyone know how to solve the attached?

The link isn't working. I think you need to edit and change your http to just one.

Edit To Correct Link: Japanese IQ Test

Edited To Add: Read the Instructions carefully.

Whew, that was tough. I did it several times and was not sure how until I wrote it down very carefully.

Even WITH the solution it is very easy to screw it up. Good luck with that.

Here's one for you....have fun

Good luck with this and have fun! This is a 5th grade math problem. If you can't stand word math problems, just delete now. This is not a trick question. This is a real math problem so don't say that a bus has no legs.

There are 7 girls in a bus

Each girl has 7 backpacks

In each backpack, there are 7 big cats

For every big cat there are 7 little cats

Question: How many legs are there in the bus?

4RE KLR 02-10-2008 08:14 PM

Yea I did it without looking at the answer above. It is hard enough to do in the first place but I thought I would wright it down . LOL Heck once you figure it out and then try to write it down you forget how to do it again.

This takes so effort for sure.

I looked at Ernie's answer after I figured it out. I go the same thing but it is not as easy as you would think.

4RE KLR 02-10-2008 08:16 PM

Earl

HMMM let me see

10,990 leggs

4RE KLR 02-10-2008 08:27 PM

double post

10,990 legs

didn't say anything about a driver LOL

Excaliber 02-10-2008 11:35 PM

I only count 248 legs.

I solved the river crossing puzzle several times (after many many attempts), but your right, it was easier solving it that it was writing it down! :D

I think that the real question is 'Should P.E.T.A be investigating this cruel and unethical method of cat transportation'?

I get 9620 legs, assuming the driver hasn`t got off the bus because of all the damned cats!
7 girls, x 7 backpacks =49
backpacks x 7 big cats =343
big cats x 7 kittens =2401
cats x 4 legs =9604
cat`s legs + girl`s legs(14) =9618
cats & girls + driver = 9620.

BDR561 02-11-2008 03:11 AM

10,990 is the correct answer

7 girls, x 7 backpacks =49
49 backpacks x 7 big cats =343
7 kittens x 343 cats =2401
2744 total cats x 4 legs = 10,976
cat`s legs + girl`s legs(14) = 10,990
No Bus driver.

DOH!!!!!!!!! I forgot to add the kitties to the Catties!
Still maintain that it`s not a good method of transporting cats... and who`s driving the damned bus?
