WHO were they? Friendlys? Taliban? 5 guys total, 4 crouched and the 5th guy just arrives when it blows. Seems there not well trained as you would think they would wait for a bomb squad. It appears they were trying to dig out the 155mm shell with their hands and weapons as shovels.

From the dialog on the video I think they were local friendlies that were
definitely not trained in that line - one was trying to pry it with an AK 47! Four guys hunched around digging and prying - not us - looked like our humvees they were using, but they also had only AK-47s and weren't any bomb squad of ours. They should use that video as a training film of what not to do. No need call medivac on that one. |
