If you referring to my post perhaps I can clarify...If not, perhaps you'd like to add your thoughts to the foreign aid "Thing."

I think I understand that the Chinese trade imbalance (Plus the money we are supposed to be borrowing from China) is significant but how significant is foreign aid to our national debt structure?

If it is not a big percentage, then I guess it isn't a big deal.

Well technically the whole Iraq mess is forign aid... A lot of people feel that George Bush Sr. "didn't finish the job". but going in and wiping out the military left us with the delemma of leaving a country surrounded with many enemies and you end up with Iran rolling in there. So you knock their military down to size and kill the SOB in charge. The land invasion was unneeded. By comparison the first thing Reagan did was kill most of old Momar's family.

There will always be opression and not just outside our borders. We can cerainly be a helpfull neighbor to the world but we don't need to police it. (unless of course it really, really is a threat)

Ultimately I see a global confilict developing between Christians and Musliums mainly based on our lifestyle and how intolerable it is to Musliums especially. Christians don't usually call for executions for violating God's laws and our govenment in perticular protects non-religious beliefs. This is not the case in Muslium countries.

Just like the flack about the prison, Iraq was not shocked by prisoners getting abused, they were apalled that we had Women doing it. Letting that out only endangered our people over there. Sheer genius on behalf of the press.

I'd be curious how many idiot politicians actually understand how futile it is to try to set up a republic in a Muslium culture. None of them seem to have a clue why it's failing...

Well, I think GWB is a good President. I did not say great, I said good. Its history in retrospect that will determine if he was great. Lets take Bill Clinton. Bad president. Now, he was a horrible president.

Reagan was reviled. But look at his funeral. Libs hated it.

Jimy Carter? OMG! Horrific.

Reagan? He is a legend now.

It has always seemed interesting to me that the bees nest that we stirred up in Iraq must have existed all along. The fact that these "bees" exist means they posed a threat at some time in the future. Everybody knows that the ME is one phuked up place. And its not because of the US. Its because of their own greedy rulers and backwards religious beliefs. Without the US, the ME dies.

GWB? We will see.
