Scott,

It won't be the last. Just wait until Volkswagen, Hyundai, and a few more decide that is good advertisement.

I wonder if it was completely a Toyota.

Tru,

It had an American driver. I will say one thing for that kid, he can drive. If he hadn't had the shock break in the Nationwide series he would have won all 3 races this last weekend.

:CRY:sad day in racing.

Ron61 03-12-2008 06:00 AM

You think it is sad now, wait until it becomes the Toyota or Honda Cup Series.

Why is it a "sad day in racing"?The best car and driver won.

Instead of being sad,you should be thankful that Porsche doesn't have a entry in NASCAR as you'd never see a "Big 3" in the winners circle again.

:D

Bill,

I haven't seen a Big 3 in the winners circle in years. Those handmade cars that they tape the brand names on just aren't real cars to me. I think about 1969 & 70 was the last time I saw an actual car that was just improved safety wise and engine wise race in NASCAR. I may be off a year or so, but I haven't identified with the so called brands for a long time.

It's become a spec racer series.

And a pale shadow of what it could become.
