Well if you are three miles away and you hit me, them that would mean you are too damn stupid to change lanes, given the opportunity.

 That explains sooooooo much. Thanks for clearing that up for us. :JEKYLHYDE |
...as I've got quite a bit of experience and the cat-like reflexes honed over years of dealing with idiots in California who think they can drive necessary to deal with people who can't figure out how something as simple as a traffic light works.
This is a test. Insert parentheses into the above sentence, in order to change it from a run-on sentence into something that makes sense. Winner gets an "Atta Boy!". |
As far as the tahoe and ABS, I was still talking about the average driver (soccer mom).
I now believe that meat just wants to see how long he can keep us going on this just for the entertainment factor. His arguments keep getting more out there and we seem to keep biting. |

For the most part I tend to agree with Meat on most of his points. However there is no law nor can there ever be one written that covers every possibility. There may be a time when a person has to slam on their brakes in front of you to avoid an even bigger accident. I used to pay close attention to what was gong on in front and in back of me, but now I have to add both sides to that, thanks to the dam cell phone revolution. I have had to slam on my brakes numerous times because some idiot that was in the other lane wandered over right in front of me while talking on a cell phone and waving their arms to get their point across, whatever that was. There is no road rage up here. We carry guns to target practice shooting at cell phones in cars. If I am hit from behind in a case like this, the car following is going to be at blame. I have been at the scene of many traffic accidents, both minor and bad, and with few exceptions the following driver was cited. But, and I stress this, not always as they do look very closely at what caused the lead vehicle to suddenly stop. So I guess to sum it up, you have to be aware of not only what is going on in front of you and behind but on both sides at all times in this day of driver less cars. I am thinking about the feasibility of putting a big, thick rubber bumper all the way around my car. :)

I normally also agree with what I see him post, that is why I think he is just having fun with us and I bit.
