Segway owners??????????
Hi all,
I was wondering if there were any SEGWAY owners among us.... I am thinking about one for the short commute back and forth to work.....wondering if anyone knew of any at a decent price?????????????? Thanks, Earl |

While waiting to meet friends for lunch, I meandered next door to one of their retail outlets for a look see. Kinda neat, the guy had me riding and in control within a couple of minutes. How long does the charge last?.

What do they cost?
I would imagine that different places would have different rules about registering and operating them. Are you allowed on the sidewalk, bike paths, streets????? I would check that out before buying one. Wayne |

As far as cost I have seen a wide range from around $750.00 up to $5000.00. I have already checked the laws and here in Florida it says they can be ridden on sidewalks, bike paths, and any street with a spped limit of 25mph or LESS. Perry, As far as a charge that varies also on conditions and battery status (new/old/misuse/etc). Earl |

Pat Buckley and I took turns riding one last year at the Mini-Nats at Sears Point. Took very little time to learn to use it, but I never got over the feeling that I was a clown looking for a parade.
Get some wrap around sunglasses and a red scarf, put some grease in your hair and get a Vespa. |
