20th Anniversary Ideas

A friend of mine just took a really neat trip for his 20th... got me to thinking... our 20th is coming up this fall. This is a diverse list with folks all over the world. I'm looking for a one to two week getaway. Tropical. Mountains and beach for exploring (and possibly running). I've been to Hawaii (Kuaii), would not mind going back. But something new would be better. Some modern conveniences like A/C are a must. But off the beaten path would be nice. Think secluded. But some nice amenities. Great food!

PMs are fine.

Thanks,

Mike

Depends on when you are going, but the Louisiana coast near Lynchburg is nice, the food is excellent and the calm is worth the time.

It is close to you, yet far enough to separate you from the kids.

:D :D

You may want to take a look at this site.

..VRBOŽ is Vacation Rentals by OwnerŽ Vacation Homes Rentals by Owner

Whenever I travel someplace I always rent a vacation home instead of staying at a motel/hotel/resort. We just prefer the comfort of staying in a house and being able to cook some of our meals there instead of having to go out for every meal.

If you like Kaui. You will love the Big Island, Hawaii. It has everything from black beaches to snow, moon landscape to tropical forest. Running, snowskiing, sailing, swimming, and tons of history. The Parker Ranch is the largest privately owned ranch in the USA. My great grandfather worked there in 1900 as a Kahuna. A great steak, or some fresh Mahi-Mahi awaits you at the Jolly Roger in Kona.

Then again in 3 days I myself am leaving via Imagine my 46ft. catamaran from Jacksonville Fl. to the Exumas in the Bahamas. Fowl Cay in the Exuamas is a bit pricey, but everything is there for you. Since I have spent 4 sailing seasons in the Exumas I have put the South Pacific on hold indefinately.......BEAUTIFUL! Check my gallery for pics.......
