New Police Car
Carbon Motors Corporation - Purpose Built Police Car, Police Vehicle, E7
Built from the ground up to be a Police car. Not a converted passenger car. I like the front and rear license plates. |
Kinda cool actually. I am really surprised that something like this hasn't been done already. I would assume it has to do with cost. It may just be cheaper to buy and convert an already existing car than to buy a specifically designed one. If not then, the police vehicle of the future will likely be something like this.

I gotta 'purpose built' car....stop or go fast, that's all.........

With the number of police cars that get rear ended during highway stops,I'm very impressed that they really did some serious work to improve this.

It looks a little bit like a revamped Chrysler 300. I like the styling. One would think the 300 chassis to be quite a robust platform considering it houses the Hemi in some guises. :) They are available with a 3.0 V6 common-rail diesel from Mercedes. ( Chrysler and Jeep Diesels ) While I've heard rumors that Chrysler was thinking of dropping many models and downsizing/combining the model spread of dealerships, any company deeply associated with Daimler must have a few aces up their sleeve. Toyota and GM had best watch their backs. ;) ... |
Why not? They had a purpose built taxi. Remember Checkers? -John
