Thanks TreeHuggers

Since this will be a long post with pictures I will break it into two posts. The dead trees are just the tip of hundreds of acres that were killed in the last big fire here and the Tree Huggers stopped them from cutting them while they were still ok for lumber. The results you can get a small idea of in the following pictures. All of these pictures were taken within 5 miles of my house and Shasta Dam is just to the right of the ones of the fire.

Some more and they aren't even using the planes on these as they are busy trying to save populated areas on North West of here. Some of you who have been up here will recognize the area as I took the pictures from the Vista Lookout Pont just this side of the dam. The dead trees are 4 miles from my house and all of those mountains in the pictures are covered with them and undergrowth that the Enviromentlists wouldn't let them go in and log after the last big fire.

We should quit paying attention to those who grip for the sake of gripping and do what is right.

Send the illegals to JAIL, they are criminals after all, and clean out the deadwood to stop this kind of nonsense.

imagine2frolic 06-27-2008 01:04 PM

What a horrible mess. Fire is nature's way of cleaning the earth. Man has grown so much in population that it takes unnatural management, and that is something the huggers of trees just don't understand. I wonder if these same people are volounteering to fight the fire?????? I DOUBT IT....they are probably sitting some where in an air conditioned office!

imagine2frolic 06-27-2008 01:10 PM

STEVE,

You are too kind. Jail is not punishment, but a vacation. Shoot the phuckers crossing illegally, and those here ship on hot miserable buses to the borders. Making sure they get back to where they came from............., and along they an intercom system that is constantly repeating in Spanish their own immigration laws!

4RE KLR 06-27-2008 01:14 PM

I2F
Yes, I agree but it was a feeble attempt at being PC. ;)

The more forest fires that are "put out" by humans, just increases the amount of fuel that can burn during the next forest fire.

Mother Nature does not like to be fooled with. And tree huggers do not care if the lumber that is burned is vertical in tree form or horizontal in your house.

Nice pics Ron!

I don't get it..are the tree hugging environmentalists illegal aliens? You guys really need to get a gripe on these issues.

I was going to mention that in my post, but Steve has tons of left-over "pissed offness". Steve is pissed at everyone, so he is PC. I think I2F is a close second.

That's an example on how threads drift.:LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL:

Actually I would not have any complaint at all if they hauled a bunch of those illegals and dumped them in the canyons on the fire lines. There are several hundred thousand acres around here that need to be burned to get rid of the dead trees and undergrowth. What the tree huggers can't seem to understand that they had lightening fires before the intelligent species, ( Man ) came along and they burned themselves out and we had much better forests and trees. Most of our environmentalists are in the upper class and hire people to do the dirty work such as chain themselves to trees.
We just had another fire break out 4 miles North of here along the freeway but they have it pretty much contained. There is supposed to be a huge World Two bomber that was built for long range bombing and has been converted into a tanker that can land on water coming in this evening to land on Shasta Lake. Of course that will also depend on the smoke. You would not believe the people who have never seen a forest fire driving over toward the dam and then just leaving their cars parked in the middle of the highway over there. The CHP has really been bust as that road has to be kept open. Right now, things are not the best they could be here, but they could be worse too. :(

Can I be one too ?

wtm442 06-27-2008 07:35 PM

Sorry Fred ... the home just called. Get back there before the boys have to drag you back in that crazy looking white coat. You know ... the one with the 6 foot long sleeves.

Ron, sorry for hijacking this thread. :p:p Hope the rain comes and puts out the rest of the fires.

Ronbo 06-27-2008 09:34 PM

Tell the tree huggers that the horse drawn fire wagons made from reclaimed lumber are still in production so we won't be able to save their houses. Can't make exceptions to reducing global warming on their account.

But they're welcome to move to Canada when their house burns down...:p
