Actually, not too surprizing given how slow they are. Biggest problem would be getting the damn things to actually drop given the wingspan.

We chased a few of 'em around a few years ago in some genuine AF Z-28s...came right over the top of us. (We know this guy...) The pilots in the chase cars have to tell them when they're touching and if the wings are level since the pilot can't see down too well. Then some guys jump out of some chase pickups and slam some outriggers into the wings to keep them from tipping over. That's the only thing I didn't see happen in the video you posted, but it looks like they added hardpoints to the bottom of the wingtips to take the hit when they stop and tip.
