Cool here and all pumped up for some back country roads....dog done it!!!......

You, might want to check the WAWA, around here they only have 92 octane and sell it for the same price as the other stations sell 93 octane for. Only one point but 93 is bare minimum as it is!

What is WAWA?

Well, I know 7-11, but not the other 'rob me' stores....

Same thing!

It appears to be spotty in my area ... I had to go to 5 stations here before I managed to scrape up 10 gallons of high test for the cruise in in Augusta , GA this Saturday ( I live on the GA/SC border ). Every station I went to had Regular , but no middle grade or 93 octane . On the way to and from Augusta , about 75% of the stations I passed didn`t have 93 octane .
Hope it clears up soon as racing gas is about $7.35/gal at the motorcycle shop ! |
Bummer!. I went down to BJ's Warehouse Club and filled up my tank with 93 for $3.75/gal. Cheapest I've seen it in ages.

Reg at $3.35
93 at $3.65 Prices have been falling around here. Plenty of gas. No lines. |
At least you can still buy 93 octane. We haven't had anything above 91 here in Northern Calif. for several years and you could use that to put a fire out with. The gas here is just crap and has cut mileage by a huge amount. Go out of state and the mileage on my Comet jumps by about 4 MPG. Other people have reported anything from 3 to 6 MPG increases once they get the Calif. crap out of their tanks.

As for 7-11 going extinct in PA, here is what I remember of them. When I was a teenager, 3 of the 4 7-11s near me were close to low-rent apartment complexes. They would only have 1 employee in the store, which would be really aggravating when anyone would order a sandwich or lunch meat because that would bring the cashier to a stop with a long line of people who were just there to buy overpriced groceries, cigarrettes, etc.
Wawa besides offering the cheapest gas with usually 16 pumps, separates the sandwich/lunch meat operation from the cashier operation. And usually has 2 people making sandwiches, 2 cashiers, plus other people stocking shelves, etc (instead of the one man operation of 7-11). Wawa has also set themselves up at busy intersections (instead of the 7-11 concept of being walking distance of low rent apartment complexes). I can't even think of where there is 7-11 is within a 45 minute drive of my house, but there are probably 100 Wawas in that range. |
WAWA is that pedal people playing the guitar like to use to distort the sound.
:D :D |
No, it's baba's last name...........
