Wall Street and private lenders have plenty to answer for, but it was Washington and the political class that derailed this train. If Frank is looking for a culprit to blame, he'll find one suspect in the nearest mirror. And his ex-boyfriend, Herb Moses, an executive for the now-government controlled Fannie Mae was the assistant director for product initiatives at Fannie Mae and had been at the forefront of relaxing lending restrictions. Frank had aggressively thwarted reform efforts by the Bush administration. He told The New York Times on Sept. 11, 2003, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac’s problems were “exaggerated,” a gross miscalculation some five years later with costs estimated to be in the hundreds of billions. |
It started in 1999 with the bill that relaxed the laws needed to get a loan at your local banks and building and loans and signed into law by the democrats. Why because of the the group ACORN demanding that they , the building and loans and banks give out loan in blighted areas , it was called RED LINING , oh and who was working to train this groups to go into banks and have sit downs Barry Obama. Nice to know he is running for the top job now, thats ACORN < the number one group for voter fraud in the US.> Only in America.
