Obama Wins Big

What a crappy piece of reporting. This was one of the big headlines on my news module this morning. It is already projected that Obama will get 344 Electoral Votes to McCains 164 and he only needs 270 to win.

Wasn't it just a few years ago they were complaining about the media making projections before all of the polls closed. Now they are doing it and the election is still 3 weeks away. I believe the reason they gave for not letting them project the winner before the polls closed was it was keeping people from voting because they had already declared a winner. It that was so, then I guess there won't be anyone voting this year. But some news medias ratings will take a jump today.

Ron,

I believe that is partly due to the DNC/RNC already allocating/relenting certain states.

(see the your vote thread)

Bill,

I am sure that is what brought it on, but they still Projected that as the final tally. If it is illegal to project a winner before all the polls close, then it should be illegal to do so before the election is even held. They should be made to reword that article.

Actually, Joe-the-Plummer just flushed Obama's chances to be President down the drain, fixed McCain's clog

Ray,

I hope that you are right. But with all of the craziness in the world today, who knows what is going to happen.

I don't get what the media is trying to do here. I know they're trying to influence the outcome of the election. But, are they trying to scare people into coming out to vote against Obama? Or, are they trying to depress people into not voting?

Let's see - scaring people into voting against Obama or depressing the vote for Obama - works for me, big time?

Keep in mind, it's the media that hasn't fully vetted Obama.

I'm assured with McCain as POTUS, the country will be in good hands and he will work hard to right many wrongs. 'O'NO! has STILL not answered questions about his relationships with so many extremist, and we don't know the extent of their influence?. Did you ever wonder why he's never been accused of paling around with honorable, respected individuals?. I have......
