Moderators, WHY?
 

I just can't understand WHY the moderators continue to allow the kind of personal attacks, nasty comments and racist remarks to continue? Has CC simply become a shadow of Gasholes? THERE I would expect such behaviour, but here, it is disturbing.

CDC, here's an example of the kind of stuff you like to post.

A recent thread referred to 'coonasses' living in New Orleans. The director of the Hawaii Visitor bureau was recently FIRED for making similiar racist comments on the web! How do you define racism? It's the kind of thing that when you see it, you know it. If you don't see it, you ARE one!

And yet, such comments go largely unchallenged. Club Cobra has taken a dramatic turn, for the worse and it certainly looks like that trend will accellerate.

Shameful behaviour, it's makes it difficult to be associated with such a group.

Just add whomever you want to your IGNORE LIST. It does wonders for your blood pressure. One or two people that you find offensive should not diminish your Cobra enjoyment.

Just follow the directions. If you add a name, such as CDC to your Ignore list, and then were to look at his joke thread (for example), the page would look like this .....

Actually, my attitude is great and I stand by my post. A couple of times I got a little heated but, that will 'never' happen again. You assumed a racist post and lost all self control. As a matter of fact, YOU made a real racist statement.

Ask someone to explain their post before you 'assume'. Heck!, from your post, your as bad as you assume others to be.

Ernie...relax...few things have gone unnoticed.

We do make every attempt to stifle racist dialog...that is the worst offense. Threads have been closed and some mindless images have been deleted.
If a post slips by, we need it reported to a Moderator.

Political off-topic discussions are very emotional. By definition, we permit these off-topic discussions as long as they do not violate the terms of usage of the site. If the content is irritating, don't visit the Lounge and read the political threads.

Several members have crossed the line of no longer expressing opinions, but rather have taken a path of ideological promotion..which we are now viewing negatively the same as unpaid advertising. As well, recent threads go from topical to personal attacks in short order. They also will be scrutinized.

I have posted a warning that the tolerance level will tighten if this persists... a few apparently don't think we're serious. It just takes one click to close a thread...one more click can ban a user...and one more click can disable the Lounge until 11/5. Don't push things, boys.

Ernie, I take your input as a valid complaint of a long time member and will address your concerns over the next few weeks.

Politicos...watch your steps over the next few weeks, or find a better site to do your promotion.
