I will be happy when everyone quits name calling and generally bicchen at each other.

If the election being over will do that, then I will be happy when it is over.

No election, even this one and although it IS an important one, is worth loosing friends over.

I wish they would condense the whole election season to run from August 1 to Election day. Not a WORD from the media, no flyers in the mail, no phone calls, no commercials, NOTHING before August 1.

I will be glad when it's over, but I fear for our country, with all the hate and discourse being fueled by the wing nuts, I'm afraid that Obama will be assassinated, and drag the country right back into the sixties and the civil rights movement. the entire world is watching us in this one to see if we really do believe in democracy, and what most important is a smooth transfer of power, that's why Al Gore stopped the contesting of the election because we were at war and we needed to be unified, the cons are getting ready to make it look like the election was stolen by this farce about ACORN it's one thing to have a few idiots sit there and fill out names because you get paid too, but trust me Mickey Mouse is not going to show up to vote!

Acorn is a well funded left wing organization that has already been implicated in voter fraud in 11 states. If you think they are not trying to sway the election to Obama you are crazy.

This is what the firing of the attorney generals was about, because the wing nuts wanted them to investigate ACORN and there was nothing there, just as it will come out this time, you guys are the KING of rigging elections, you are out there now caging votes and disenfranchising votes despite a court order Oh but wait laws are not for cons are they! you just politicize the justice department to do your neocon bidding!

There are a lot more of us then there are of you and we will not allow you to get away with it again, your party will require 20 years or more to recover from this one.

I was hoping that it wouldn't get into a discussion of who is better, but a discussion of how tiresome this whole political BS has become.

The thing I have found is, it doesn't matter what you believe. Your chances of changing any other persons mind is almost nil. It would not do me any good at all to state who I support and for what reason. I'm not going to change the mind of anyone.

What I meant was simply that CC members on the political threads seem to be attacking each other over stupid stuff. No one that is headstrong on their decision on whom they will vote for will be swayed by another here on CC, so why biitch at each other and call each other names..

Al Gore was only demanding recounts until he finally got one to go his way - THEN he was gonna stop.
He realized that if he ever got numbers to favor him, the entire election would be recounted to prove his folly once and for all. Gore had the same problem as Clinton, in that he was so derailed by all the Yes Men around him he had no idea there were actually people in this nation who thought he was (and is) a buffoon.
Those people actually believe that once Hollywood, the media, and the "intellgentsia" are in their corner there are no real Americans left to think for themselves.
