Please don't just cut and paste large articles with no premise.

A discussion forum requires discussion.

If you find an interesting article, just post the link...and then express your point of discussion. Otherwise this becomes just a copy-copy blog.

actually that was very good reading, if a link was posted i would just have scanned over it thinking i would open myself up to cookies and malware that
i don't want, however i do see a need for a word of caution as to not copy and paste a two page article, and use up space on the forum.

If that becomes the case, the originator will be held responsible for posting a dangerous link

Not only that space is an issue, but there are many articles being cut and pasted despite copyright disclaimers on the source page.

i often wonder about that, the copyright issue, would cc be held solely responsible, or the poster, or both. surely copying articles with warnings about
doing it is an issue. isn't it a gray area when you copy an article citing the author and there is not a warning on copyright infringement? maybe some of the cc members that are lawyers could chime in.

No need to get the lawyers involved; it has happened here before. :cool:

If we are advised by an author of a copyright issue with respect to text or image, we simply comply with the request and delete the offending item.

The ClubCobra rules clearly state the following:

It came to me in an e-mail and I did a copy/paste this morning. After seeing your reply, I found the article on the net (Google is my friend) and revised my original post.
