Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read "Vote Obama, I need the money." I laughed.

Once in the restaurant my server had on a "Obama 08" tie, again I laughed as he had given away his political preference -- just imagine the coincidence.

When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need--the homeless guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight.

I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to thank the server inside as I've decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy was grateful.

At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn even though the actual recipient deserved money more.

I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application.

Also, employers could announce the consideration of employee raises, then withhold those raises and give the proceeds to a worthy cause, preferably one involving non-workers ... PRICELESS!

I know it's pointless to say, but your party is just twisting what was said, it's not redistribution of wealth, its giving everyone the chance at it, your party only wants those that are rich to be that way and their attitude is, since your there here's some more! and a little more, and a little more! the disparity of wealth in this country has surpassed the point where most other countries in history have had revolutions. in the
60's CEO's pay was 25 times that of the worker, now its 500 times that of the worker.
until you see the magnitude of the problem and open your eyes, it will never sink in until we reach a tragic point in our democracy!

Thanks for more liberal talking points CobraBill.

Perhaps Obama will come up with a few extra bucks for you government worker bee types - in payment for your vote.

So, aside from you actually practicing what you preach with this "experience" (I suspect it was instead as virtual as the overused phrase, "My Friends"), take the financial aspect out of this. What other social experiments have you got to convince us (the uninformed) about our new future.
It could include...the waitress being wiretapped and then arrested because she said "**** on that bum", and our government thought she said "switch on that bomb". She arrived in prison never to see the light of day again because she was assumed to connected with terrorist activities and thus denied due process, and a fake terrorist WMD based search warrant was used to invade her house. The bum was later arrested because he had "direct ties" to a "terrorist" and was consequently imprisoned as well.

NOW I'm starting to understand your concern for our future.

I think that almost everybody on this site knows basic economics, that it takes money to make money. That be said I do think that the CEOs make too much money in most cases, but that is up to the share holders and the board of directors to determine. I see know problem with CEOs of big companies making 10 or 20 million a year if the company is a multi-billion dollar a year company. But Obama's redistribution of wealth is not right for those people that have worked hard to get where they are. I don't mind paying taxes for my family but to pay taxes for my family and others families and then give them more of my hard earned money, well, that just not right no matter which way you look at it.

First thing, don't forget to put a space in between cobra and bill, the real cobrabill gets his panties in a twist over that one

As for liberal talking points, they are my words, but they are welcome to use them :3DSMILE:

As for the pay raise, I'm not counting on it, the last time we got a decent pay raise was during the Nixon administration.

Well at least not a PC, the Cray super computer was liquid cooled, but it was so large it filled an entire room.

Cool pics though I had to study those pretty carefully.
