It's quite possible. I don't know the timeline. I may have to go look it up once my curiosity gets the better of me.

And Turnpike Boy may have a point...this trip to see his grandmother has...interesting...timing.

I don't trust a damn thing that any politican does, but if you look at who would benefit from this then McCain and Clinton certainly top the list. And just because it is a DNC lawyer causing the ruckus does not automatically mean that Clinton is behind it.

We will see - either way it looks like something will shake out very soon. Leave it to the DNC to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.:LOL::JEKYLHYDE

Rumor has it, Berg is/was a Clinton supporter; not only that but the Judge was supposedly appointed by Bill Clinton. I have no idea how one would verify that info though.

Perhaps Hitlary would rather have Obama lose or be disqualified so she can run again in 2012?

This whole thing smells of dirty politics... smart of the McCain camp to just stay out of it.

Yes, Berg is a Democrat

Yes, the judge was appointed by Clinton, but he is a lifelong registered Republican. Nothing wrong with this picture.

Regarding Obama's trip to Hawaii. Give the man a break guys ... his grandmother is very ill and may die.

Of course its best for McCain to stay out of this mess. It could blow the lid off this election and make the ACORN scandal look like a prank ... or it could be absolutely nothing. Just wait and see what happens.

If your mother was gravely sick in the hospital, would you stick her in an airplane for a 10 hour trip? I don't think so.

He definitely thinks he has the election won already. Also, by going on a long trip to Hawaii to see his mother, his advisers have probably told him he will pick up some votes from the elderly mothers in the USA.

Do not under-estimate Obama. He makes Slick Willie Clinton look like a political dummy. :o

But everyone get out and vote for McCain. Every vote counts. My sister is so mad at anyone that does not vote. She did not vote at her last local election because she was sick and it was raining that day, and one of the ballot questions that she wanted to see pass, lost by ONE vote. :eek:

I really don't like to waste much time reading radical right wing or left wing 'news' sources. Any website that also sells a bunch of T-shirts with images of 'pills' Limbaugh or Al Franken (stein) should be considered suspect. And if you do get sucked into one of those types of sites it is helpful to go read the opposite view - the truth is usually somewhere in the middle.

I would not put it past Clinton to do this sort of thing. And I am not convinced that McCain did not have a hand in it either - possibly in cahoots with Clinton to take down a common enemy. Politics makes strange bedfellows. This is all speculation as none of us have enough info to go beyond that.

She has a broken hip.... lying in bed flying for ten hours (five hours to Stanford) in a quite posh jet, with a nurse and doctor on hand, would be better care than she would receive in a traditional hospital.


If I had his kind of money, I would make sure she received the best, no offense to Hawaii's physician pool, medical care money could buy.

At least, to his credit, he appears to be a real conservative and (unlike some here) recognises that Bush is not.

Although the firm name escapes me right now, the firm that just got the Second Amendment affirmed by the Supreme Court had a webpage specifically for that purpose.

As has been previously stated, the arguments Berg has put up have ominous implications, should they be correct - certainly on a par with an enumerated right. His opportunistic acceptance of funding is hardly prima facie evidence of a corrupt intention.

Right or wrong, I will wait for the court to determine objectivity, but that may be hard for you to understand as due to your British heritage, using terms like "bloody", you may not be that familiar with the way our court system works.

Spread the wealth is Marxist, but Obama wants to give me back more of my tax money and charge more taxes for the wealthy. That is not Marxist, just biased. And the wealthy already had a big tax cut a few years ago. In fact, by 2010 the richest 1-2% will have had a tax cut of about 5-6%, whilst all the rest of us will only have had a tax cut of 1-3%. Why shouldn't I get a 5% cut as well?

I have no problem with lawyers working for pay, nor with self-promotion. However, my suspicious nature makes me wonder if this lawyer suspected his case would be thrown out, but went ahead anyways simply for the money and exposure.

You don't have a complete understanding of 'British heritage' to know, by your own admission, that you are fanny-less, and BTW, by definition, one can not "go bugger yourself," unless, of course, you were to apply the modern use of the term, as Chef Ramsey, of English origins, does so frequently. :cool:

Unfortunately, I don't have an English fanny anymore (but I would not mind occasional access to one:MECOOL:).
As for you buggering yourself; I've never met Chef Ramsey (though perhaps you would prefer that he bugger you instead). I use the term in the same way that one version of 'sod off' would be used, which is the same way that it has been used in the pubs during my hunts for pints. I am guessing that you are long enough in talent to be able to bugger yourself, as you certainly seem well buggered to me.

J.T. Toad - I would like to extend the appreciation of all those in Club Cobra for your thoughtful and insightful responses to VRM (Steve) - finally, someone has got under his skin and like any liberal, he just cannot stand it, he cannot handle the truth. Hopefully, Steve will seek out professional help, possibly after the election if his boy Ron Paul doesn't win. Too bad, Sigmund Freud isn't alive, VRM (Steve) would provide a long term patient for him to sort through. Unfortunately, all of us are ending up attempting remediation therapy with you providing the best treatment for this lost soul. Keep up the good work - VRM (Steve) just may be worth saving from himself.
