Excellent!

That, sir, may be your most salient post yet. And I salute you for it.

As a die hard conservatarian (part conservative part libertarian) i hate to admit it but i have had it with the republicans. I cant standthe liberal policiy's either but a tax break, any tax break is now looking good to me. Here in ct i pay 6000.00 a year properytax for a 1670 sq ft house, property tax on my cars, state income tax of 5%, the alternative min tax plus federal tax. I wont vote for Obama, i will just let it happen. the republicians for 8 years did nothing to repeal or hold back the ATM. You would think making low 6 figure income plus wifes 70 grand a year wpuld make us rich, all it does is get me taxed more because of her income.
i have many friends in the same income bracket who are voting Obama on the hope something will change. I doubt it will-but with most of us seeing our retirement going down the drain because of corporate greed, maybe jsut maybe obama will stop that obscene greed.
McCain should have promised to hang all those crooks- he missed a chance to win.
God help us all.

Joe,
Yep...I am in almost exactly the same boat as you, though my property tax is lower for a bigger house. I have friends that make a combined $70K, and they have been slowly hurting for 3-4 years. Christmas for their two young kids requires 2 months of careful planning and budgeting. Fortunately they are doing that rather than taking out loans on their house. I probably would have voted for the McCain of 8 years ago.

joeg,

According to some you are already rich (low six-figure income of yours plus wife's $70k income). Don't you know that the patriotic thing to do is pay more taxes and "share the wealth?"%/

You need to pay more taxes so those that don't pay any federal taxes can receive a "tax credit.":JEKYLHYDE

Now that's change you can't believe in.....

Tell me about it...
I voted for Bush FOUR TIMES!!!
(Twice as TX Gov)
His second term could have dealt a crushing blow to creeping Socialism on so many levels.
Instead he started pandering to the Left - like McCain always has.
I thought McCain and his "maverick/bi-partisan" bullsh!t was too much in 2000.
God help us....
