I had one of these in High School
What a cool car. It was a black 1959 Cadillac Limo. It had the black leather front seating area with the grey felt rear seating area. Had the big fins with the twin bullet tail lights. It was a caddy 390 with 325 HP / 4bbl, dual exhast and the old "roto-hydramatic" 4 speed automatic.
Now they make it in a 1:18 scale diecast model that is 14" long and with great details!!!!!!! It is EXACTLY my car!!!!:D:D:D
I WANT IT !!!!!!!!!! Already informed the family for Christmas. Check it out:

Ed;
I went to Woodson H.S. over in Fairfax and had a couple of friends who bought an old black Caddy hearse and drove it out to LA over a summer. When you opened the back door it sounded like something the Adams family would love. That wasn't you, was it?

Not me. I lived in LI / NY when I was a kid and mine was a limo, not a hearse. What a cool car for a little 160 lb 17 year old guy to drive. I only have one picture of it. That's why I want this diecast version

I just received my Franklin Mint book a day or so ago and they have a solid Gold 1963 corvette listed in it that there will only be one of made and the first person to call gets it. Didn't give the size, but it is only one payment of  $250,000. They are making 10 Sterling Silver ones for only $10,000 each and ten Stirling Silver ones with Gold on them for only $15,000 each.
Now don't all of you jam then phone lines trying to get the Gold one.

I saw the movie Harold and Maude when I was in high school and thought that his ride was the coolest. I could even have put my band equipment in it to go to gigs!

Ok, so I was a bit strange then, and I'm only better at it now...
Somebody was selling a Jag E on Ebay a couple of years ago that had a sb Chevy instead of the Jag 6. I'm still kicking myself for not picking it up, though I doubt I would have made a hearse (for midgets, cause the car would be too short for anybody taller than 4 feet) out of it.

Steve, I can readily see you driving Harold's car and picking up Maude for a date in it.

These fantasies of yours are probably just caused by a chemical imbalance.

When working in S.F. Ca. we use to custom build those headpipes for all the SB conversion on XJ6's. Very popular at one time.

A friend of mine has an XJ-S that he bought with a SB Chevy Corvette motor installed. He is 'restoring' it. He is going to lose his job at the end of the year and it looks like he will be having to commute rather than travel the 1 mile each way that he has to go now. Instead of the V8 he is replacing it with a six and he is doing it up to make it look like one of the old Corvette Blue Flame Specials. He is painting the car a Triumph colour that looks like a combination of Panther Pink and Barney purple, and then he will add some blackout trim, black spoiler, and black side stripes to give it a bit of a late 60s Mopar look.

With all due respect to your friend, that sounds like sh!t.
;)
The E-Type hearse looks like some shooting brake conversions they used to do in England.

Yep - he and I had a number of conversations about what colour to make it. I was pushing for Aston green with a yellow nose flash. Before he found out that he was getting laid off he was going to keep the V8 and we had designed a cartoon logo that was sort of like the Mopar bee, but based on the Jag leaper, and it was going to be called 'Bad Kitty'.
He used to drive a Gremlin in cammo paint http://www.arcticboy.com/neamc/gremcamfl/gremcamo1.jpg, and recently had an orange Gremlin X with all the striping and mag wheels.
