I was sailing from Bimini to Grand Bahama in the early 80's. It was well after midnight when I heard this roar overhead. I thought that jet is awfully low. I looked up to see this exact fireball coming over the boat. I pointed, and studdered when my friend said I see it. It flew low over the horizon, and disappeared. I presume it landed in the Gulf Stream. Sure was pretty!

Well lookie here, fragments found all over the place. I have a Geo found in north Georgia setting on my mantle, sure would like to have a small piece of that meteor next to it.

That was awesome....I'd love to know what the impact site looked like.
