Dodging a shoe is one of the few things GW has done well.
I say good for the shoe thrower. 70% of Americans probably would like to have done the same thing. |
I would like to think 70% of Americans would have more class.

Liberals have Class,it's just happens to be Low Class though.

The guy who jumped out after the shoe was thrown was Don. He lives directly across the street from me. He is in the Secret Service and is always assigned to Georgie. He did not look too amused. He is a good man. Too bad he was the only one who reacted.

Good for Don, but would he be happy to have that info posted on a public forum? I ask this in good faith and with no disrespect intended.
On topic, though, Gee Dubya displayed impressive reflexes and composure. A man less gifted in those traits would have been visibly rattled and probably gotten smacked in the head by a dirty shoe to boot. Security was definitely deficient, though - that could have just as easily been a weapon like a glass or ceramic throwing spike designed to be spirited past the metal detectors that were set up outside. No one should ever get an opportunity to have such a clear shot at the President, let alone two. |
Rosa Klebb???
Doggone, am I the only one that saw the video and thought:
"Boy, W's lucky it wasn't that old gal that was in 'From Russia With Love.'" :D http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosa_Klebb |
well, it seems the new "democracy" has already spawned liberalism....

His family was threatened by Iraqi security people if he did not offer up some sort of retraction. He chickened out after realising that he would have to pay the penalty. I suspect it was the first one as most Iraqis have seen a lot in the last few years, and if he had enough stones to toss his shoes in the first place I really doubt he would chicken out later worrying about just his own butt. But there is always torture... |
what was it Ron White coined?
oh yes... "Ya can't fix stupid." |
