Oh Gawd---Al FRANKEN?
Thank Gawd (for him) I got out of Hanoi-on-the-Charles (1968) before that puke showed up as a freshman! He wouldn't have survived had I known that pustule was on campus! I can't be sure whether or not he was on the Lampoon----but if he did get on, it shows they had vastly lowered their standards!
One of my '68 classmates e-mailed me saying that Franken's "victory" was unbelievably corrupt----and not just by ACORN. The whole deal was rotten from beginning to end. My buddy says Franken is a card-carrying communist. At the very least, he's so obnoxious, he's toxic! Aside from that he's a draft-dodging* chicken sh!t to boot. Perfect liberal, in my book. If they seat him in the Senate, there goes the Republic. Yick! *he had "discontinuous" attendance----and the lottery wasn't in until late '72, if I recollect (I could be wrong)--anyway, he'd have been 1Y, eh? |

All the early press comments about Camelot returning seem somehow appropriate. Congress has had its' share of actors, but now it can finally claim its' own joker and fool.
God help this country now. It is hard to believe how pathetic the halls of Washington have finally turned. |
Given some of the abnormalities that were reported today in the WSJ, if Franken is seated tomorrow, one cannot help but wonder about the integrity of the incoming Congress.

I personally am not a Franken fan, however, should he win the "Vote is Counted Right" bid..keep in mind Minnesota survived the Jesse Ventura years. To some respects.. maybe having someone so far off-beat might be the right %/:confused::eek: :CRY:**) balance to everything else that has been going on? IMO none of the politicians are "perfect" or have the answer.

In tudday's New Yawk POST, little ****ie Morris opines about Panetta. He goes on to cite Lefty after Lefty crawling into the Messiah's appointment slots. Hoo boy!
All I can say is that a friend who works for the No Such Agency has just e-mailed me back, re Panetta, and he says that the CIA has been suffering a Lefty take-over at the top levels ever since Carter's pick of Stansfield Turner and especially since Clinton's reshuffling. He even blames Daddy Bush (41) for a lot of the shift away from hard-line cold warriors to Yalie egg-heads. Although that may be an "in medias res" comment, since the CIA was always a bastion for Preppy-Ivy guys. Yale and Skull-and-Bones especially.... That Morris article today REALLY lays it out, though. We're headed for some deep kimshee, bruddah! So is Israel! I honestly don't think the Great Unwashed has even a scintilla of a clue, re what they're going to see, post Inauguration!!! Ye're right JAMO, Kennedy IS actually as funny as that puke Franken. It's just that Kennedy's humor is INADVERTENT----(as most really good humor is, I guess). Also, Franken is as far to the left as the Sennituh, if not farther.
It all adds up to a Senate more reflective of Berkley, Cambridge or Moscow. 'Tis time, lads, to buckle up. We are in for a wild ride. The moronic public will wake up two years from now and (possibly) elect conservative (not necessarily Republican) majorities to one or bofe of the houses. But wait'll we see what these Bolshies do in these next two years. Continue crashing the economy, buying more votes (or bribing people with their own money if you prefer), rationing helath care, weakening the military, screwing our allies (such as they are), kneeling to China, etc. etc. Yummee. Hope the freakin' media are happy playing Gawd. Hope the cretinous public wakes up to what was done to them.... You'll know we're cooked when Bownie Fwank nd Chris(t) Dodd get re-elected.
