We must all be Vigilant!
The recent national elections have resulted in new heads of various departments in our government who are not friendly to our cars or other organizations which support our hobby. Henry Waxman (Cal) and Carol Browner are two of the most radical people on environment. The recent attempt to introduce a bill in Cal. to buy up all older cars and scrap is just the beginning. Most of the radical ideas start in Cal. and spread East. We must watch for this crazziness or we will not have any of our cars! It is important to support SEMA and any other organizations who are trying to hold back the tide!!
The next four years will be a challenge. |
Without doubt, we as a nation should be converting to alternative fuels. That said, it never stops to amaze how extreme some will go to get their name out there. Henry Waxman and Carol Browner may have faded into obscurity if not for taking such a radical platform. It seems we need to correct the enviroment and the economic woes through what we do everyday (or drive everyday) rather than buy up a bunch of cars that are rarely if ever driven.

Vigilant?
WTF are we going to do when O'Drama nominates an a$$hole that did not pay any taxes for quite a few years as the new Treasury Director (and therefore the boss of the IRS). Absolutely nothing. And watch this a$$hole get confirmed with narry a nick to his worthless skin. When the IRS noticed the mistakes quite a while ago, including taking off his son's summer camp as a deductible expense, he paid most of the overdue taxes. But the effen sleezebag did not pay for any taxes which were beyond the statue of limitations. :MECOOL: :MECOOL: As soon as he was contacted about the new directors job, he paid all of the overdue taxes that he had refused to pay previously which were beyond the statute of limitations. :D :D My size 13 1/2 shoe right up his a$$ and tickle his adams apple.
