ACORN's worming their way back in.....

Democrats are trying to get ACORN (Another Criminal 0bama Registration Network) money for buying more votes in the next election. This is another sign of the corruption in the democrat party.

AKA. "neighborhood stabilization activities."

"House Republican Leader John Boehner issued a statement over the weekend noting that the stimulus bill wending its way through Congress provides $4.19 billion for "neighborhood stabilization activities." He said the money was previously limited to state and local governments, but that Democrats now want part of it to be available to non-profit entities. That means groups like ACORN would be eligible for a portion of the funds. Sen. David Vitter, R-La., told FOX News Tuesday that the money could be seen as "payoff" for groups' political activities in the last election. ACORN generally supports Democratic candidates and actively backed President Obama last year."

Geez, we are so screwed.

Taking the LONG view.....(with a LONG rant!)...

...after majoring in Anthropology (archaeology, actually)----and studying geological time-frames v.s. human prehistory (and history for that matter)----you end up flipping the telescope around. Gives you the long view, for sure.

If you do take this path, and apply it to America's history, well.......it's not pretty, and (unfortunately) not "cyclical". Sorta like the Earth's true fate-----a long, exceedingly slow decline in temperature (as the core cools), punctuated by interstadial warm periods (Holocene). So, how does all this blather pertain to Ammurrican history? Well, it seems we started out, bristling against an authoritarian, condescending and rapacious gummint (Bwittish). We even philosophically oriented ourselves against it (anti-monarchical, anti-Federalist, Jeffersonian, etc.). That went up in smoke (better look at Abe Lincoln's legacy with an objective eye out for States' Rights!)---and by TR, the American people (always rather dim, collectively speaking, and capable of thinking only in the short term), started to see the Fed Gov as the solution to much of their problems. Add a little FDR, Ike, "me-too" Republicans, LBJ, etc. and here we are!!!

People no longer see government as a necessary evil----they look to it as a financial guarantor and protector. They are also ill-equipped, in terms of IQ or erudition, to see the true historical perspective. They can't read George Orwell, HL Mencken, or Ayn Rand because they can't read at that level and therefore they would rather play video-games and go to Dizzyworld than think hard about their self-inflicted plight! Welcome to Orwell-land!!!

Sickenin', eh? Don't think that the assault on western Yurpeen values, US history and the traditional educational establishment was inadvertant! Keep 'em dumb and waitingfor hand-outs! Beyootiful."IDIOCRACY" fer shur!!!! A little dose of David Horowitz "The Sixties, the Destructive Generation" is HIGHLY recommended.

S'ovah, dyewds. Let's just fling open the borders, legalize drugs and let the chips fall where they may. Meanwhile, let's all read Ayn Rand's "Anthem".
