Request - allow small animated avatars
 
Jamo/Computerworks

Would it be possible to review and change the site policy and allow animated avatars, limited to 75 by 75 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller) or even small than that?

I tried to load one - message stated it's not allowed. Are small animated avatars a real problem?

mine seems to work ok

at least I see it animated at my end

I may or may not want to use that specific file, just wondering why no animations are allowed - I was thinking that they were allowed in the past.

It's not seeing animated, it's bring able to load an animation as noted above.

What is the total size of the similie (animation) you're trying to use? Remember, it's 75X75...but not more than 19KB.

Jamo part of the problem appears to be the size 96dpiX96dpi. File size is only 2kb . The other part of the problem might be the file name which starts with an "_" (underscore). Rename it to something different like 1american.gif and resize it accordingly and it should be good to go.

The file is the same as the above flag waving gif - 1.69 KB (1,737 bytes) (40 X 35)

Help. I'm also wondering about the 'YOU' part of the YOU MAY NOT UPLOAD ANIMATED IMAGES! Is it just me or is that a message to whoever tries it?

I copied your gif picture, did absolutely NOTHING to the file, and loaded it as my avatar in the User CP area. But the CC computer likes me, so it works fine - no problems.


The score at the bottom of the first inning is
CC Computer 1
CDC 0

Not wierd.
It worked for me.
No problems adding your gif picture as my avatar.

The problem therefore is NOT the gif file.

Look at my avatar - its your gif picture.

Suggest you try again.

I apologize for the wierd comment.

So, Ron tried it also - worked for him - therefore, it's all about me - normally I like it that way, but not in this case - perhaps Jamo will be kind enough to help me out - it must be something about my account.
