Why aren't we marching in the streets?

A friend sent me this clip from youtube and it says it all for me. We all see what is happening and I think it angers most of us. What is it going to take to make people think enough is enough? Check out this clip.

I think you are wrong. I think if you ask most of the people on the street about the stuff talked about in that video, they would be clueless about it.

I fear that as a nation we have became complacent and just don't want to do anything any more. By the time enough people wake up to what is going on, we will be just a larger Vensualia.

I am afraid it is not that people do not know of these problems touched upon in this short clip. The people not knowing is an easy thing to fix. The people not caring or being willing to do anything is a scary problem. All of these points are our nations issues to resolve. If the average person does not know about all of these attacks against our future they must know about many of them. It can not be that people are simply unaware, they can not approve of the destruction of our nation. Ignoring the problems or issues not affecting their daily life must be the choice of many. Now their day to day life is being impacted but only on the fringes. Hang on it is going to be in their face soon enough and still I do not see people taking part in fixing anything.

Ron,
Why did you pick Venezuela over maybe Russia or some other more industrialized nation? I am not always the sharpest tool in the shed so wonder if I am missing your point. I do feel are nations standard of living will drop big time if changes are not started now.

Ron61 03-24-2009 01:29 PM

Jeff,

Just that that would be Hitler is taking control of everything and setting himself up to be a total dictator with complete control. He has even invited Russia to establish an air base and port for their warships there so they can be close to the U.S. But I don't think Russia is to interested in that as with the long range bombers and missiles, a few minutes isn't going to make much difference.

Do you cheat at cards too? I don't like Obama, but I see nothing wrong with trying to understand where the world is headed. This is 2009, and not 1959. If we are going to compete we will need to understand our surroundings! It's a different world, and a different USA......i2f

Today we found out ACORN paid for the bus's to take the protesters to AIG executives home's. And again most of us where working. I guess they just drive thru Hartford and look for those hanging out of there windows doing nothing and invite them for a bus ride.

Don't forget to mention that the subversive, Anti-American Group, ACORN PAID those people to get on the bus and protest.

There was no protest at all, PAID PROPAGANDA is what it was.

Joe, Dan, that should have been a thread starter. Bill O. made a not-so-straight connection with the WH, which is probably true, imo.

David and Dan,
Your points of Who was on the buses, in the marches and Who paid for the event deserves thought. Public opinion is being massaged or attempted anyway, that is more than I see the other side of the coin doing. I think the politicians expected tar and feather parties that have just never happened. Why not???

I have been leaving messages and talking with staff of my Reps and about any office I thought would do some good. I have sent over 20 tea bags as mentioned by Joe G . I have never been in a March for anything in my life but have become active now with calls and letters etc.. My days as a mushroom are over and I am mad as hell. Join me in anything you believe in but make your voice heard.

Until now, I have not been a political animal. I watched but can't say I watched closely. George W got me started. I enjoyed his toughness about terrorists in the face of democrat ridicule. But at the same time his spending was insane. At least I thought so at the time, This rookie in all things makes GWB look like Scrooge. And Obama's total disregard for our Constitution while he lies and mouths his 'respect' for it cannot be allowed.
And the conduct [or lack of it] of our media is both shameful and DANGEROUS.
I have and do write my Congresspeople and make no excuses for the behavior of the lot of them.

The Rev. Jesse Jackson was right [first time for everything] when he thought the cameras and mikes were all off. Speaking about Obama, the right Rev. Jackson said, "I'd like to cut his nuts off!":D:3DSMILE:
