One of the biggest complaints about wind power is that the blades will kill birds. However I heard that a study was conducted on this topic and it was concluded that birds are no more likely to fly into the blades than they are to hit any other objects.

:(
We have basically the same thing going on here. Shasta County unemployment isn't quite that high but is going up.It was 16.4% as of yesterday with five more stores and businesses getting ready to go out of business. They have been trying for the past two years to build a wind farm on a mountain up near Burney and the big complaint there is it would ruin the dam skyline which only maybe a dozen people can see without binoculars. Now the Save The Bird group from the Bay Area has come up to give them a hand in stopping it. How is it that these dam protesters about everything seem to have unlimited funds to travel anywhere and the news media will crap all over itself to get them on TV?

If I really believed birds would commit suicide by flying into the blades,I'd ring by property with them.
Tired of them crapping on my cars.
