Gun carry law shut down over environmental impact Using holsters instead of locked cases demands full review, says federal judge By Bob Unruh © 2009 WorldNetDaily Judge rules against concealed carry in locations like Glacier National Park, the location of several fatal bear attacks A federal judge ruled there must be a full review of the possible environmental impact of allowing citizens on national properties to carry concealed guns in holsters rather than locked cases. The decision comes from U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly, who issued a preliminary injunction banning implementation of a rule that had been adopted just before President Bush left office. It would have allowed citizens who have concealed-carry permits to follow the appropriate state laws in carrying weapons on national park lands. I read that and the judge is an idiot. As for the so called people not feeling safe, would you be surprised that 99% of them are anti gun lobbyists? If I wanted to steal their junk while they are in a National Park, I sure wouldn't need a gun to do it. Ron %/ |
I wonder if they would feel more safe if I carried my 50 Desert Eagle in a tacticle holster strapped to my leg in plain view? The genral public's preconcieved (uneducated) notions of fierarms are why I bother to go to the trouble of concealed carry (training, licensing for Utah/Florida CCW- 31 state legal, and special holsters).

Sounds pretty silly to me, if they are fallowing state and federal guidelines for carrying a weapon, it should be fine!
