What we fear most.
Two magazines, Country Living (95.99% white readership) and Ebony/Jet (99.99% black readership) did surveys on "What do people fear most ?" The results were interesting, to say the least.
Country Living magazine's top three answers were: 1. Nuclear war/terrorist attack in U.S. 2. Child/spouse dying/terminal illness. 3. Terminal illness/self. Ebony/Jet magazine's top three answers were: 1. Ghosts 2. Dogs 3. Registered mail |
I have to admit that I would never have guessed # 1 and # 2 in the Ebony/Jet poll. The # 3 I can sort of see.

Damn funny!! Sorry of this is too over the line, but perhaps ghosts is people in sheets.

I can attest to '2. Dogs', boo (my dog) rides in the back of the truck when ever I'm running local errands. Just last week I stopped at a convenience store for a couple of items and noticed a black family pulled up right next to me, they had the windows up and wouldn't get out of their car until I finished, got in my truck and backed out. They had their eyes glued to boo the entire time.
