Another US flagged ship attacked...

...then evaded capture using 'evasive maneuvers'.

We need Charlie Wilson to come out of retirement and put together a rag tag group that answers to no one!!.............

Just think what a group of guys with a SUB could do. It would have to carry all the good stuff.

:D

Subs ain't quick enuff-----even if they're loaded with SEALS.....

......this area (i.e. the one within which the pirates operate from their "mother ships", etc.) is HUGE. I think daily overflights of manned or drone aircraft downlinking with lots of the Navy's hot new gun-boats (they've got a 42-footer which is essentially a cigarette-boat with Kevlar armor and many .50-cal. machine guns) would really put the fear of Gawd in those buggers. Some of the so-called "spy shots"---which look to be taken off Key West (?)----show what look like missile- or rocket-launchers nestled around the "bridge" area. The boat itself has a little more plumb bow and definitely a deep-V entry. Looks sea-capable---even at 50 mph.

When something like this shows up in Aero. Quartely and/or in the USN Proceedings, it's only a matter of time before it shows up on the Military Channel. Some of you computer-gifted types should be able to conjure images up. This boat may be intended for use with that new "Littoral Warfare" model. It sure looks like it would need frequent "pit stops", and would likely be tied, with several sister-ships, to a mother ship, such as the littoral jobbie..

Some reports on the various USN sites say this thing can hook it up to about 65 kts. or about 76 mph. That oughta do.
