Dear Mr. President:

Please find below my suggestion for fixing Americas economy.

Instead of giving billions of dollars to companies that will squander the money on lavish parties and unearned bonuses, use the following plan.

You can call it the Patriotic Retirement Plan:

There are about 40 million people over 50 in the work force.

Pay them $1 million apiece severance for early retirement with the following stipulations:


1) They MUST retire. Forty million job openings - Unemployment fixed.

2) They MUST buy a new American CAR. Forty million cars ordered - Auto Industry fixed.

3) They MUST either buy a house or pay off their mortgage - Housing Crisis fixed.


It can't get any easier than that!


If more money is needed, have all members of Congress pay their taxes...

US population over 50= 136,721,088 136.7 MILLION. Not work force, total over 50.

Follow the joke and give them [us] all $1,000.000. and its still only 136.7 BILLION Far cheaper then even the first TARP.
In fact they could give every person over 50 10 Million EACH and ONLY equal the bailout.
So 40 million jobs openings
90 million plus not competing for jobs
Say 20 million must buy cars each year [alpha] so 100 million cars sold [American made] every 5 years
At least $75 BILLION AVAILABLE for savings [helping banks] or INVESTMENTS

Problem===Who would then have the POWER?

GREAT Idea!!! Sometimes the simple solution is best.

136,000,000X1,000,000 = 136,000,000,000,000. or 136 Trillion. SO.......it IS a joke.

Sort of...not in the rest of the world (i.e. England), where 1 Bilion DOES = 1,000,000 x 1,000,000...perhaps if we all move to England it would work?

It was an interesting idea until you look at the numbers...correctly.
