Mexico outbreak traced to 'manure lagoons' at pig farm
A village where residents have long complained about the smell and flies from a pig farm may be the source of the outbreak Chris Ayres in Mexico City The first known case of swine flu emerged a fortnight earlier than previously thought in a village where residents have long complained about the smell and flies from a nearby pig farm, it emerged last night. The Mexican Government said it initially thought that the victim, Edgar Hernandez, 4, was suffering from ordinary influenza but laboratory testing has since shown that he had contracted swine flu. The boy went on to make a full recovery, although it is thought that at least 148 others in Mexico have died from the disease, and the number is expected to rise. Snip..... http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/lif...cle6182789.ece ____ I believe that this is the outcome of factory farming - relating to pigs this time. Has anyone here driven past a pig factory farm in a Cobra? |

Just remember what I've been telling you folks about your future fresh produce all coming from Mexico if we continue to give Western agriculture's water away to save snail darters in the California Delta...Mexico irrigates with untreated sewage.
Enjoy. |

I recommend renting a copy of Fast Food Nation (just for the look on Kinnear's face when he finds out he's eating cow poop is really entertaining). Plus, that cheap burger comes at a price - it's got poop in it due to the speed of the line as cows go through the process of morphing into burgers - it appears that not all the poop in left behind. Of course, some of the burgers come from Mexico, probably from a plant right next to the manure lagoon - I imagine that the cows have their own lagoon. Of course, some here may like the tast of poop - there's nothing wrong with that, I suppose. |
Saw the movie...one of my clients is featured.
Nothing wrong with a little processed crap in our prepared foodstuffs. Raw fresh produce is a whole nuther matter. |
