Memorial Day
Memorial Day- A day set aside to Remember & Honor our Fallen Heroes. Those that gave all in the service of our great Nation. Their sacrifice allows us the Freedoms we enjoy today........ Today, in urban, suburban & rural America,.. Parades, Ceremonies, Speeches, Picnics, etc will be held in Honor & Remembrance of our War dead.
I for one am very Grateful.....Grateful for the Freedom that I & my Family enjoy as a direct result of the extreme sacrifice of others. I Salute those that gave all.......... Everyone, Enjoy your Holiday & God Bless. From an old Soldier who will always Remember & Honor our Fallen Heroes, |
Mick,
I wish you and your family all the best. And on this day of remembrance, I hope that some sanity will creep into the world. Take care, be careful, and thanks for your service to our country. Ron |
To those that have served, those that serve today, and those that will serve in the future.
God bless you all. |
Memorial Day Flags today in tribute wave For those loyal ones who gave Of their youth, their hopes, their might For a cause they knew was right. Morning bells sound their call, Pause and say a prayer for all-- All who served valiantly That men might be ever free. Toll of bells, drums' slow beat-- Silence falls in every street. In each heart swells the plea: Keep us safe, but keep us free! |

Memorial Day What is the meaning of this day? If you’d like to know Then the fields of Arlington are where you should go Stand among those many crosses and humbly look around At those who gave their lives, and lay in that hallowed ground White crosses in rows, each one’s a memory They represent someone who left their friends and family They bravely fought for others; their dreams were laid to rest Underneath those many crosses lie our very best The guard at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier Could tell you of those whose actions were bolder The sons of our country who gave their own lives He is proud to walk there, he understands sacrifice They fight for our freedom whether you care if they do And maybe someday they’ll give their own life for you The veterans can tell you its worth all they’ve lost No matter the price, no matter the cost Freedom isn’t free. There’s a price to be paid I stand behind our country and the choices we’ve made They protect our freedom, they stand proud, and stand true To our veterans and soldiers I offer thank you.
