Click & Clack the Tappet Brothers
I love this show, been an avid listener for years. They just crack me up. A while back they started using this background music for intermissions. I swear its a Dire Straits tune, but I cannot figure it out. Anybody have any ideas?

Can't hear it. Can you turn it up?
|
Alright. The show comes on Sunday, early afternoon in most locales. If your listening, try to help me out.
Thanks! Mike |
Mike,
They used to have a column in the paper here until about a year ago and I always read it. I have looked for it on any of the radio stations that we get here and haven't located it, but I did really like their column in the paper. Ron |
Look for Stations here
Typically, Click and Clack are heard on the local PBS stations. Look around the 90.0 area on FM

Ron, just tune to your PBS station. That is all. My favorite programs are Car Talk and Prairie Home Companion. Damn the politics. I love those shows.

You can check here for the NPR station that broadcasts in your area. I've listened to the podcast on thieir site but haven't heard the music you're after. Probably just on the radio show.

Mike,
Thanks for the station. I will try that as I miss their column in the paper. They were funny and had some very good answers also. Ron :) |
Ron,
Car Talk is a NPR syndicated program. You should easily find it somewhere below 90 on the FM dial. I also looked on their website and did not hear it. Rats. Mike |

Mike,
At the top of the All Cobra Talk forum, CW has put a stcky with the way to embed them. Just copy everything in the URL after the = sign and use the YT tage as you use ther IMG for picturews. In this case I just copied the 9jiLL2d-ac from your post and put the tags on each end. The sticky shows it in pictures and makes itreally easy to follow. Ron |
Ron thanks. Hope you were able to find Car Talk today. Cracked me up as usual. What a great program that is.
As for the song, what you hear in the video is not the same as on Car Talk... and dammit... I know for a friggin fact that Mark Knopfler is behind the Car Talk version (Dire Straits). And I know for a fact I have heard Dire Straits version on a CD or EP album. It just miffs me that I cannot get to the bottom of this. What album title? If you listened to Car Talk, you know what I mean. The piano part is right on, but you can hear Mark playing the guitar in the background... absolutely classic Dire Straits. BTW, the Car Talk website FAQ says they get more questions about this song than any other part of the program. Mike |
