Texas Woman Told to Remove 'Offensive' American Flag From Office
This kind of crap makes me embarrassed to call my self an American and to have defended my country!!! Apparently the part about "... against all enemies foreign and domestic..." we are now getting to the latter part of that.
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,522659,00.html If this is what we have to look forward to in our country... I'll be leaving! |
That is just asinine. And why didn't that person who complained find the one flying outside offensive. Maybe he or she should go to another hospital where they won't have to look at our flag. Preferably in Iran or North Korea. Ron :( |
saw a bumper sticker on a truck the other day that was a picture of an american flag, underneath said "if you find my flag offensive call 1-800-get-out"
|
I am sure the women who is offended could go back to Africa and have a better life. What a piece of ****. I hope a flag pole falls down on a windy day and knocks some sense into this women!
|
As we say in the business, "...it must be a very slow news day..."
|
I think Ron needs some Zoloft..a few happy pills may help his outlook!

I do not understand what Ron has to do with this, but I am sure it is of nobel intent.
 |
Again, this is an example of "so called management personnel" not doing their job in the first place. "Oh we don't want to offend anyone now do we!"
They should have simply fired the complainer and offered her a ticket back to her shack in Africa and then give her the big boot! Bill |
'Cause Fox news is unbiased and does not sensationalise crap to get the right-wingnuts all riled up.
Read the article posted (dated May 29th) - all of the quotes defining the flag as offensive were from the woman who put up the flag. She is paraphrasing - and we do not know how accurately. Also, the article says that the company had issued a statement that said “The disagreement was over the size of the flag and not what it symbolized. We have invited the employee to put the flag back up.”. I would imagine that an office shared by 4 people would be pretty crowded - putting up a 3x5 foot anything might take some possibly unappreciated re-arranging of other peoples stuff. Also, the company posted another statement on their website on the 28th - a day before the Fox article was dated - saying "We are offended one of our employees took down a colleague's American flag in our Mansfield, TX hospital. It was wrong and as soon as we learned about it we took immediate action to correct the situation. At no time did anyone at Kindred Healthcare instruct anyone to take down the American flag. This was an unauthorized act of an individual employee. The flag is now proudly displayed once again, and we apologize to all who were equally offended by this unpatriotic action, including the owner of the flag. We have reprimanded the employee and let them know we don't tolerate behavior inconsistent with our Company's values.". So has the boycott of this hospital started yet? Steve |
VRM - input noted and discarded, immediately.
