So back on topic - How many tsars constitutes too much?
Is it better to have a specific individual who can be held responsible for specific goals, or to have a bureaucracy that just plods along doing what they always do?

Bush Sr. appointed the first drug tsar way back when - I'm not sure if there has been a long term measurable metric to determine that whatever policies that individual implemented were effective.

I'm really on the fence about tsars/directors/whatever-you-want-to-call-it people. I think that individuals with the proper motivation can be more effective than a group of government workers. But I also think that rewards for non-performance is also too prevalent.

He appoints tsars for every thing he can come up with a name for and then of course they have to have a staff of all of their friends. Do you actually believe this is any improvement over the commission type of crap? The only thing any of them are interested in is their big pay and getting as many friends on the payroll as possible. If it would actually work to the benefit of the country I would be all for it, but it is just a job creating thing to get his friends into high paying jobs I feel. If he even put qualified people in the positions that could give it a little merit. I guess we just have to hope for the best.

'Tsars', or whatever else you want to call them, can work to get the job done, but unless there is some level of accountability then it will not matter what you call them.
And acting like this is some new Obama thing is just plain silly - all administrations staff themselves with cronies. Getting elected means you owe a lot of favours - complaining only when the Democrat does it is (and I do not recall any of these type of posts 5 months after Bush was elected) hypocritical.

The shoe is on the other foot now - if the GOP had not made such a mess of things then the electorate might have kept them in office. Suck it up - there is still 3.5/7.5 years left.

If they are still around you will find that I complained about all of the friends and people that Bush, Clinton, and Bush Senior gave jobs to that didn't deserve them. Also no darn person needs 25 aides to do their work. If they can't do it, then they should not be appointed. Govt.is way over bloated and is just getting more so at a record pace now that he has passed both Bush and Clinton. Makes me wish for the Good Old Days of Jimmy Carter. :LOL: :LOL:

Yes Bush was terrible. He took the full 8 years to increase the deficit by 5 Trillion dollars. Obama has committed to increase the deficit by more than 9 Trillion in only 4 months And he is still charging ahead. The $1.7Trillion, MINIMUM, extra that the 'health care non-plan' will cost is not even in the over 9 Trillion. Then there is Energy, his "plan-in-progress" for energy WILL be over at least a Trillion. Then education, pooff, another few Trillions.
Someone, for or against, I don't know, quoted $23,000,000,000,000.00 in obama's plans. How long do YOU remain silent? I have never been political in my life, and I do not want to be political. But this reckless clown, obama, is beyond reason even for a politician.

I do not think you were here posting at the time, but the handful of those that dared disagree with Bush were called all kinds of things by some of the same people who now whine about Obama - the excuse was that we were at war and we need to be united. Once before I asked you to post your solution to straighten out this mess and all I heard was more about what Bush did. Bush is GONE. Get over it and start looking for solutions to the problems. Obama is not a solution, he is a bigger problem just adding onto the existing ones. If I knew any way to straighten this mess out I would be posting it on every web site. Unfortunately I am one of the dumb, uneducated ones that you look down on with such disdain. People are concerned. Just not the one in the White House. Maybe another dozen teleprompters would help him.

I've posted my solutions before - feel free to look them up. The people complaining the loudest about Obama supported Bush - they do not have the right answers - they had their shot and blew it, but yet they want more of the same. Obama also has the wrong answer, and that needs to be proven to the Obama supporters before we can move on. Some of the Obama supporters will not believe it, just as some Bush supporters still think everything was rosy right up until Jan 19.

Everyone seems to think there are only two solutions to any problem; the GOP solution and the DNC solution, and a lot of people are going to cling to their solution (even if it does not work) because they fear the other one even more.

My complaints have nothing to do with political parties. I have never been a registered Republican, and was only a registered Democrap as a youngster. Otherwise a life long Independent. Because neither party is worth a damn. Both are filled with career polos willing to beg, borrow, steal, or buy votes by any fraudulent means available. I distrust the Democratic Party more as it is overloaded with pie-in-the-sky, lost in Dreamland, liberals. They think that impossible Utopian dreams can be reality, and are willing to spend every cent of my money to prove they are wrong. But the Republican party, with its pseudo-conservatives, runs a very close second.
To think, believe, that either party will do something for us means they have won. Doesn't matter what label is attached to them.

ANYTHING "they" do FOR us, WE cannot afford!

What WE The People need to do is TAKE BACK our country from the lying politicians. And DO for ourselves.
