Life In North Korea

Since this has been such a hot topic lately I thought some of you may be interested in what a former North Korean peasant had to say about their dear leader.

I was reading some of the history of their fighter pilots, I'm Air force and believe the Air Force and Navy will play a big role in anything that happens there. It would be suicide to try to walk into a country with over a million soldiers. Anyways, it seems like everytime ol Kim decides to play this role that one of his pilots defect with a fighter plane and head to SK. They get a hefty cash payout and they get out of NK!

The air force and Navy would play big roles in any war with that place. Controlling the sky was what helped the first time. With all of the mountains and narrow dirt roads, there is no room for armor to maneuver nor many ground forces to spread out.

I remember going to Kimpo to see the first MIG that the pilot defected to S.K. Our guys were astonished at how simple it was for them to replace the gun assembly. It took about 3 hours with a 6 man crew to replace the burned out barrels on our Sabers with new ones. On the Mig they could change the complete gun assembly in about 15 minutes and have it back in the air. That explained why they could get in so many flights per day while ours were rather limited at that time. I also doubt if their pilots are really well trained now either.
